Sophisticated beach wear
Nathalie Tribouillard's Léonard collection is perfect for voyages to far-away islands, strolling in Saint-Tropez, or enjoying beautiful California beaches (in short, anywhere other than grey and cloudy Paris). For summer 2000, Léonard, a label famous for its prints, proposes a very beach wear-esque Hawaiian version in acidic colors on a turquoise background. The print is featured on shirts, baggy microfiber pants, lightweight cotton drawstring pants and swimwear with coordinating cotton piqué shirts, light cashmere tank tops and fluid, unstructured jackets. These are done in bright shades such as peach, coral, pistachio, anise or a Marco Polo print, or subtle tones like beige, sand, white or sky blue. There is a Capri print for Bermuda shorts or lightweight cotton short-sleeve shirts, and jeans feature a hand painted Hibiscus motif and are paired with a wool ottoman blazer. City wear includes supple wool and mohair suits in light grey, and for evening there are white shantung silk suits, sometimes lined with a twill silk print. The collection is perfect for a relaxed, nonchalant summer.
