The wardrobe for summer 2000
Moritz Rogosky's "Summer Knights 2000" suit themselves. In an abandoned studio in the appropriately named Passage de l'Homme, the models selected their ensembles from the brimming racks and dressed and undressed themselves in front of the audience. Besides providing an unexpected spectacle for the attendees, it demonstrated how different pieces from the collection could be coordinated and how easy they were to put on and wear. Moritz Rogosky's style has become more defined, with a particular discreet originality that radically differentiates it from other designers' collections. For summer, we find comfortable short jogging pants with drawstrings at the waist and calf worn with coordinated straight-cut jackets or lightweight polo shirts in an almost transparent knit, Bermudas that reach just below the knee and short pants in slate-grey canvas, lightweight turtleneck tunics, long djellaba-style sheaths, fluid boatneck tops, collar-less shirts with camouflage prints, sleeveless checkered shirts with asymmetrical closures, seersucker tunics with high collars, shirts with open sides with strap closures. The line is reminiscent of that of the previous winter, but it has been updated to render it uniquely aestivale.
