Among the major players For the first time Xuly Bët presented his collection at the Carousel du Louvre. The ambiance, while not as wild, was still gay and playful. The designer's classic looks, as well as generally classic styles made up the brightly colored collection. Pant suits either in bottle green or brown-violet pinstripes, with Xuly Bët's trademark red stitching, or covered with grafitti displaying the brand, illustrate a comfortable, street chic style. Parkas with marked waistlines, ensembles with short or long jackets and trench coats lined with pink, ivory or maroon fur make for a warm and bright winter. The pantsuits, either large or very fitted, had a futuristic feel and were done in a metallic dark grey. New for Xuly Bet were mohair frilled robes and dresses with hoods, in orange, violet, or glazed brown with peeled or shaved devore aspects. Typical of the brand were the long or mid-length stretch dresses with hoods. Ending the show were long, fluid dresses, either chastely hooded or with deep, open backs for sexy and nonchalent queens of the night. Victoria Abril, Rossy de Palma, Jean-charles de Castelbajac, Lolita Lempicka and Henri Salvador were among the interseted onlookers who attended the show. Virginie Transon |
